Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 80,000–85,000 psi, yield strength of about 55,000–60,000 psi, and elongation of 30–35%. The weld deposit shows toughness, ductility, and strong resistance to chloride corrosion. Its low carbon and silicon-rich composition helps it resist intergranular corrosion while producing attractive, high-quality welds in both MIG and TIG welding processes.
