ER310 contains around 25–27% chromium, 20–22% nickel, ≤0.08% carbon, and small amounts of manganese and silicon. This composition grants outstanding oxidation and scaling resistance at temperatures up to 1100°C (2012°F). Mechanical properties include tensile strength of about 80,000–85,000 psi, yield strength between 40,000–45,000 psi, and elongation of 30–35%. The weld deposit offers toughness, ductility, and resistance to thermal fatigue. ER310 is suitable for both MIG and TIG welding, ensuring durable welds in high-temperature service.
