The SS 15-5 PH Sheets and Plates are primarily made up of iron, along with 14.5–15.5% chromium, 3.5–5.5% nickel, and 2.5–4.5% copper, plus trace amounts of manganese, silicon, niobium, and carbon. This distinctive composition, bolstered by precipitation-hardening, results in excellent transverse toughness, high yield strength, and solid corrosion resistance. After heat treatment, the material can reach a tensile strength of up to 1310 MPa and a yield strength of around 1170 MPa.
