Stainless steel perforated sheets are usually made of 304, 304L, 316, and 316L grades containing 18–20% chromium and 8–12% nickel to offer superior corrosion resistance and strength. These sheets possess good mechanical characteristics, such as tensile strength of 515–620 MPa and yield strength of approximately 205 MPa. Perforation is a process of punching or laser-cutting circular, square, slotted, or ornamental holes through the sheet without weakening its structure. These sheets retain their strength even after perforation and impart high ventilation, filtration, and acoustical performance.
