Stainless Steel XM19 Nuts consist predominantly of nitrogen-hardened austenitic stainless steel with around 20–23% chromium, 11–13% nickel, 4–6% manganese, and molybdenum and nitrogen additions to improve corrosion resistance and strength. The nuts have good mechanical properties, with a normal yield point of more than 379 MPa and tensile strength of up to 690 MPa. They possess low-temperature toughness and withstand stress corrosion cracking more effectively than commercial 316 stainless steel. Non-magnetic in annealed condition with high work hardenability, XM19 nuts are developed to sustain harsh, corrosive conditions.
