Stainless Steel XM19 Bars consist of an austenitic stainless steel alloy with around 20.5–23.5% chromium, 11.5–13.5% nickel, 4–6% manganese, 1.5–3% molybdenum, and 0.2–0.4% nitrogen. Trace amounts of vanadium and niobium additionally improve the grain stability and wear resistance. The bars provide high mechanical performance with tensile strength up to 690 MPa, yield strength of around 380 MPa, and very good elongation up to 35%. The material is not magnetic in the annealed condition and has strength and toughness at both cryogenic and higher temperatures and is therefore ideal for harsh service conditions.
